Liftgate

Available in
Rear-end attached equipment that allows freight to be lifted from the ground to the truck.

A liftgate is a large trucking equipment attached to the tail of the vehicle. It is either hydraulic or electric, acting as a connector between the ground and the truck’s tailgate to be load or unload goods easily. A liftgate is essential when the loading or unloading location does not have a loading dock.

Using a liftgate benefits the trucking service provider and the customer by significantly reducing the risk of accidents. Apart from being a safe and cost-efficient alternative to hiring staff for loading and unloading, liftgates also support shipping to various locations, which would not have been possible otherwise.

Customers who opt for a liftgate delivery should note that it might incur an extra fee, due to its convenience and the significant weight added to the vehicle. Nevertheless, this fee is justifiable given the cost savings associated with reduced labor expenses and the prevention of accidents.
