Igloo

Built in the shape of large domes, logistics igloos are similar to snow igloos, serving as temporary storage facilities or shelters for storing goods, equipment, and supplies.

Its shape provides a spacious interior with a curved roof that allows for efficient use of storage space. They come in different sizes, ranging from small units that accommodate a few pallets, to large structures capable of housing vehicles or machinery. They are often equipped with ventilation systems, lighting, and access doors to facilitate ease of use.
Igloos are commonly used for air cargo transportation because their unique shape fits the internal wall contours of a narrow-body plane. They also offer several benefits, such as reduced weight, which helps airlines save on fuel costs. Additionally, igloos’ improved packaging density keeps goods tightly packed, thus reducing damage from movements within the igloo.
