Very high yard densities at container terminals and inland transport bottlenecks are aggravating port congestion problems in North Europe.
Shanghai has remained operational amidst dropping export volumes to Europe, but there is the risk of further port congestions in Europe once the lockdowns are lifted.
Following improvement in February and March, global schedule reliability has declined again in April by -1.3 percent to reach 34.4 percent. It is following the trend seen in 2021 with very little month-on-month volatility, but at a very low base.
